The Bezos Center for Innovation opened at Seattle’s Museum of History and Industry. Supported by Jeff and MacKenzie Bezos, the center is an exhibit of innovation, using multimedia and hands-on experiences as well as artifacts, images and oral histories that explore Seattle’s creative history.

The 5,000-square-foot exhibit begins with the question, “What is innovation?”. Visitors can post innovation challenges, while future attendees will have the chance to write, draw or build solutions. The Idea Lab invites visitors to identify and solve today’s challenges. Visitors can take self-portraits in a photo booth and add their faces and ideas to the discussion.

Seattle Patent Tree provides a three-dimensional history of the Puget Sound region’s inventive spirit. Go Big! is a 9-foot by 12-foot graphic novel that tells the history of Seattle-based organizations through short stories, and Launch Pad offers an interactive look at the skills of innovation.
