PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Seneca Group was selected to provide overall project management for the development and construction of the new 425,000-square-foot, 11-story downtown Seattle Central Library. The $159 million project funded by the 1998 “Libraries for All” bond measure also included establishing a temporary central library to use during construction and demolition of the old Central Library built in 1959. Seneca was charged with ensuring the project’s program, cost, and schedule goals were maintained within the exceptional and unique architecture of the building.
